Dry Needling/ Electro Dry Needling
Dry needling
Dry needling is a technique where a sterile fine needle is inserted into hyper irritable spots in muscles, creating a microtrauma, to help reduce pain and release muscle tension.
Electro-Dry Needling
The use of electro dry needling has been shown to increase the effect of dry needling as well as, when used within specific frequency ranges, induce further pain reduction by the release of endomorphin, β-endorphin (natural opioids) and enkephalin (neurotransmitter with potent pain killing effects).
